Hackathon Topic: Predictive Maintenance for a Single Machine

Challenge: Build an AI model that predicts when a specific machine (e.g., CNC machine or robotic arm) will require maintenance based on historical sensor data and simulated real-time inputs.

Why it works: Teams can use sample datasets or simulated IoT streams to train a simple predictive model and visualize alerts.

Deliverable: A dashboard showing predicted failure times and recommended maintenance actions.

Who should participate:

Someone with experience working with data and basic machine learning;

Someone who can read and write basic code or work comfortably with data and analytics tools;

Someone who is open to using the Microsoft Azure–based environment.

You do not need to be an AI expert to join. If you enjoy solving problems, collaborating in cross‑functional teams, and turning data into real‑world impact for manufacturing, you’ll be a great fit.
